Community License Request
At ngrok, we believe in supporting the open source ecosystem by empowering those who contribute to it. To that end, we offer licenses free of charge to leaders of open source projects and active community contributors who meet our eligibility criteria. The Community License initiative is part of our commitment to give back to the communities we benefit from and participate in.
What We Offer
- Paid ngrok Licenses for Individuals, valid for a year.
- Licenses are renewable indefinitely upon request, provided the eligibility requirements continue to be met.
What We Ask
- The project must add a visible link to ngrok from their website or GitHub Repository, preferably on the landing but "Thank You", "Sponsors", or "Contributor" pages work too.
- The link should be to either https://ngrok.com/ or https://ngrok.com/docs
- If the project uses our logo, it must be in the correct aspect ratio and adhere to our brand guidelines.
What Makes a Project Eligible
- Meets the Open Source definition.
- At least one year of commits with new, active commits in the last 3 months (static doc updates like README, LICENSE, and similar do not count).
- Must not be intended for illegal activity or funded by commercial companies or organizations.
- The individual must be a maintainer of the project in the last year and have an ngrok account under their own email.
