Hand endpoint setup to your coding agent

Hand your Agent Endpoint setup to a coding agent. Copy a prompt from the dashboard with your endpoint’s start command, any Traffic Policy you’ve configured, and a link to ngrok’s setup instructions.

The prompt asks the agent to check the connection after starting ngrok. If you haven’t entered your application’s port, it asks the agent to find it and confirm it with you.

The prompt leaves out your authtoken. If you still need to authenticate, it asks you to run that command yourself.

This option is available for ngrok CLI setup. For Kubernetes or an SDK, follow the setup instructions shown instead. The CLI commands also remain on the page if you’d rather run them yourself.

Get started

  1. Configure an agent endpoint from Endpoints in the dashboard.
  2. On the CLI setup screen, select Hand off to your AI agent.
  3. Paste the prompt into a coding agent with terminal access to the machine running your application, then follow its setup instructions.
