See how close you are to your limits in the dashboard

Find out you’re near a limit before a request fails. The Limits page in the dashboard used to show only each cap, so checking your headroom meant counting domains or API keys on other pages. Now it shows how much of a limit you’ve used, whether you’re close, and when the limit last turned a request away.

In this example, the account has used all 200 of its TCP addresses, and the limit rejected a request 2 days ago. Wildcard domains is at 84 of 100, so the row warns you before the cap.

The table has three new details:

  • Status shows Good, Approaching Limit, or Limit Reached. A limit is approaching when you’ve used 80% or more of it. It’s reached when usage hits the cap, so the next create request fails.
  • Current Usage shows your count. The Limit column keeps the cap and adds a small meter that fills as you use more. The meter matches the color of the row’s status.
  • Last Limited At shows how long ago the limit last rejected a request, such as “2 days ago”. Hover for the full date. The column shows a dash when no request was rejected in the last 30 days.

Status, usage, and last limited time are available for these resources:

  • API keys
  • Domains
  • Wildcard domains
  • TCP addresses
  • Event destinations
  • Event subscriptions
  • IP policies
  • SSH public keys
  • Tunnel authtokens
  • Team members
  • Vaults

Every other row keeps showing its limit, with a dash in the new columns. We’re adding more resources to the table.

Get started

  1. Open Limits in the dashboard. Sign in if prompted.
  2. Find a resource from the list above and check its Status and Current Usage.
  3. If a row shows Approaching Limit or Limit Reached, check its Action column. It links to Upgrade or Request Increase when your plan offers one.
